Staff at a hotel and spa were surprised by an unexpected guest after Storm Goretti. A young seal pup was seen in the car park at The Quay Hotel and Spa in Conwy, Wales. The four-star hotel shared on social media: ‘We had a very unexpected visitor pop by today. This little seal decided our car park looked like the perfect spot for a rest!’
The hotel staff reported the sighting to ensure the seal was safe. They added, ‘A seal-iously memorable moment, and a happy ending thanks to the experts!’ The British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) arrived shortly after to check on the pup.
After assessing the baby seal, the BDMLR confirmed it was healthy. They then transported it to a specialist facility for proper care. The hotel staff later confirmed that the pup is doing ‘well’ and is back where it belongs.
