Drayton Manor Park has announced it will be closed on Sunday, January 4, because of safety concerns related to the weather. The park’s management stated, “your safety comes first.”
The Met Office has issued alerts for snowfall in the Midlands, with a yellow weather warning now in effect. Snow is expected to move towards the area from Wales on Sunday.
Drayton Manor Park will remain closed on January 4 due to “adverse weather conditions.” The park had been open on selected dates during the Christmas and New Year period but will now close for the season after today, Saturday, January 3. It is scheduled to reopen on Saturday, February 14, for the new 2026 season.
In an Instagram post, Drayton Manor stated: “Important update. Due to inclement weather, and for the safety and wellbeing of our guests, we’ll be closed on Sunday, January 4, 2026.”
All existing bookings will receive codes to reschedule visits during the February half term. The announcement concluded: “Your safety comes first.”
Snow showers are expected across parts of the West Midlands starting around 4 PM on Sunday and may continue into early Monday morning. Weather experts warn that up to 8 cm of snow could accumulate in the most affected areas.
Coventry and Warwickshire may also experience wintry showers and scattered snowfall today. Temperatures are expected to remain low, not exceeding 2 degrees Celsius, but will feel much colder due to an icy wind.
