Erith Leisure Centre Invites Community for Swimming

Erith Leisure Centre is inviting the community to enjoy its pool. This is part of a new swim timetable that aims to provide inclusive exercise opportunities for everyone.

The centre promotes casual swimming as a low-impact and rewarding activity for all ages and abilities.

Emily Jay, the centre manager, stated, “We are thrilled to welcome more of the Erith community into the pool. Swimming is a life skill that offers incredible mental and physical health benefits. Whether you are a senior citizen looking to stay active, a parent teaching their child to float, or someone training for a triathlon, our doors—and our lanes—are open to you.”

Erith Leisure Centre offers lane swimming for focused exercise, general swim sessions for relaxed enjoyment, and family sessions to help children build water confidence in a fun environment.

The facility features a 25-metre pool and a separate teaching pool to meet different needs and abilities.

The centre highlights that swimming supports cardiovascular health, builds muscle, reduces stress, and is suitable for people of all abilities.
