Four Dead in Bolton Car Crash

Four people are dead, and five others have been taken to the hospital after a serious car wreck early this morning.

Police are urging the public to come forward with information after a red Seat Leon and Citroen Picasso collided around 12:45 AM on Wigan Road in Bolton.

The driver of the Seat and two passengers have died. The driver of the Citroen was also pronounced dead at the scene.

Councillor Ayyub Patel of Rumworth has asked the community to avoid speculation about the crash.

Emergency services, including fire engines and a technical response unit, were called to the scene.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that three fire engines and a technical response unit were dispatched to Wigan Road at around 12:50 AM.

Cllr Patel stated, “As a councillor for Rumworth, I am deeply saddened to hear about the serious incident on Wigan Road. My heartfelt condolences go out to the families and loved ones of the persons who have tragically lost their lives, and my thoughts are with everyone affected. I want to express my gratitude to the emergency services for their swift and professional response in such difficult circumstances. Our community will stand together in support, and we will await further updates from the authorities.”
