An urgent investigation has started after human remains were found inside a flat.
Police responded to the property in St Helens, Merseyside, at around 11:30 AM on Saturday.
A 65-year-old man has been charged with preventing lawful and decent burial of a dead body.
Details of the Incident
Officers were called due to concerns for safety and discovered the remains at Geralds Court. They arrested a man at the scene.
George Gordon, of Geralds Court, has been charged with preventing lawful burial and obstructing a coroner.
He is in custody and will appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Monday.

The investigation continues, and the body has not yet been identified.
