London faces travel disruptions as severe delays affect the Elizabeth, Circle, and District lines due to electrical faults and engineering work
Severe Delays on Elizabeth Line and Other Tube Lines
Passengers using the Elizabeth Line this morning may need to inform their employers about potential delays.
Travelers are experiencing a second day of disruptions due to severe delays affecting several London Underground tube lines and the Elizabeth Line.
The Elizabeth Line, also known as the Lizzie Line, is facing significant delays this morning between Heathrow Terminal 4, Heathrow Terminal 5, and Abbey Wood, as well as between Reading and Abbey Wood.
Transport for London reports that these delays are caused by an electrical fault on the line. However, the rest of the line is operating normally.
Additionally, the Circle and District lines are experiencing severe delays due to an earlier faulty train at South Kensington. The Jubilee line also has severe delays because of late finishing of engineering work.
The Metropolitan Line is facing severe delays between Wembley Park and Aldgate, also due to late finishing of engineering work.
In slightly better news, the Bakerloo, Central, and the rest of the Metropolitan line are experiencing minor delays. The Bakerloo line is affected by train cancellations, while minor delays between White City and West Ruislip are due to a faulty train at Perivale.
Some routes, including the Circle, District, and Elizabeth lines, are accepting tickets on buses and other routes while the issues are being resolved.
