A truck drove into a crowd of hundreds of anti-Iranian regime supporters on Sunday afternoon. The incident occurred outside a federal building in Westwood, Los Angeles.
The U-Haul truck, covered in slogans, was filmed driving through the crowd. Protesters were waving Iranian flags when the truck approached.
Emergency services responded to the scene around 3:30 PM. They received reports that a man drove the truck through the planned protest.

The side of the U-Haul had signs that allegedly read: “NO SHAH. NO REGIME. USA: DON’T REPEAT 1953. NO MULLAH.” In video footage, demonstrators swarmed the van and tore down the signs.
Protesters shouted at the driver through a smashed passenger window. The Los Angeles Fire Department reported at least two injuries treated at the scene.
Firefighters were also looking for a third injured person. They faced delays due to the size of the crowd.
As police escorted the driver away, some protesters attempted to punch him and hit him with flag poles. The truck’s windscreen and windows were reportedly shattered.
The demonstration supported ongoing mass anti-regime protests in Iran. Reports confirmed that the death toll in Iran had risen to 579, including eight children, after two weeks of protests.
Demonstrations against the regime have also erupted globally. In London, protesters gathered outside the embassy before moving to Whitehall, waving the country’s old pre-Islamic flag.
Some protesters threw items at the embassy. Met Police officers intervened to stop trespassers from scaling the building. Crowds were seen burning photos of Iran’s leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Many in the crowd waved pictures of the exiled crown prince Reza Pahlavi. Crowds in Berlin, Madrid, and Paris chanted for the end of Ayatollah Khamenei’s rule.
