Sexual Assault at Toytown Store in Middlesbrough
A woman was sexually assaulted by a man while shopping at a children’s toy shop.
The incident occurred at the Toytown store in the Cleveland Centre, Middlesbrough. The man, approximately 18 years old, assaulted her as he exited the store.
Police have released a CCTV image of a man who may have information about the assault, which took place at 3:30 PM on December 8.
Police Investigation Details
PC Carling, from Middlesbrough’s response team, stated, “A number of enquiries have taken place since the sexual assault was reported to police.”
He added, “This includes obtaining CCTV footage and reviewing it in a bid to try and identify the man in the photo who could have information that could help with the investigation.”
PC Carling urged the public to come forward if they recognize the man and for the man himself to contact the police.
“Anyone who has further information that could assist with our enquiries can also get in touch,” he said.
Suspect Description
Police described the man as around 5 feet 8 inches or 5 feet 9 inches tall and approximately 18 years old. He has a slim build, black hair, and an Eastern European accent.
