Investigation into Alleged Sexual Assault on Train

A woman has allegedly been followed and sexually assaulted on a busy early morning train.

Investigators are looking into the attack that reportedly occurred on a Central Line tube in Stratford, London, at around 6:30 AM on September 15.

A man is alleged to have stood next to a woman on Platform 3 at Stratford railway station.

He then followed the woman onto a train heading towards Liverpool Street.

Once on board, the man sexually assaulted the woman, according to investigators.

The British Transport Police has released an image of a man they want to speak to regarding the incident.

Anyone who recognizes the individual is urged to contact the police immediately.

The police stated: “Anyone who recognizes him is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 133 of 15 September.”
