Woolwich, known for its military history and proximity to the river, is becoming a popular choice for those seeking a commutable location to the city center.
The Standard cited Woolwich’s growing developments, including Re:shape’s £435 million project to build 1,500 new homes at the Electric Works on the site of Woolwich Polytechnic in Macbean Street, with construction set to begin next year.
Other projects mentioned include the replacement of the old Woolwich Leisure Centre with Woolwich Waves this year and the ongoing London Square Woolwich housing development, which will add 700 new homes.
